Digitimes reported that Acer is working on a frameless laptop with a touchscreen keyboard. Yes, you have heard it right.
Actually, the concept is feasible, as the manufacturer could remove the display’s frame by printing colors directly on the back of the display’s reinforced glass substrate. It has already been achieved supposedly by Fujitsu with its Frame Zero concept (pictured), although we have no word of its release. Meanwhile, several upcoming computers will feature tactile keyboards, such as the OLPC XO-3 and the Asus dual-display laptop prototype.

No word of confirmation, yet. The source, however, wrote that Acer will be launching the product during the second half of 2010. [via]

With a starting price under $ 600, A6200 15.6-inch MSI Core i3 provides a strong performance at a great price. Combining sleek, lightweight for its class, and strong battery life, the A6200 is a compelling choice for families and students on a budget. However, even at prices i3 Core systems offer as good if not better performance.
Design

In a budget system, the MSI A6200 sports a rather elegant design. The glossy black lid and palm rest are decorated with gray pinstripes subtle reminder that a business suit top quality. The touchpad, which is located in a concave area of the palm rest, is also the reason. The dek and bezel are also shiny black plastic, and the front lip of the system includes a tasteful array of status lights in blue and green. Unfortunately, all that adds a shiny fingerprint magnet.

At 14.7 x 9.7 x 1.2 inches and 5.4 kg, the A6200 is ultraportable MSI but it feels surprisingly light for a 15.6-inch notebook with an optical drive. We were able to carry the laptop and a stack of books around our bag all day without feeling as if we were lifting something heavy. It’s a bit lighter than its competitors as NV5934U Gateway (5.6 pounds) and the Toshiba L505-ES5018 (6 pounds).
Fujitsu has long been the leader in Tablet PC, but it lagged the competition in the application of multitouch on its slates and convertibles. The LifeBook T4410, aimed at business users, makes up for lost time with an experience of Windows 7 soft touch Äîoften, sleeker than its competitors, Äîand a reasonable price (from $ 1,199, $ 1,649 depending on configuration ). The design is on the bland side, and you don, Aot get a lot of storage space for the money, but overall the T4410 offers good performance in a durable chassis.

Design

While other companies such as Dell and HP, have moved ahead with design revisions of their lines of business notebooks, introducing new colors and brushed metal casings in their queues, Fujitsu offering the latest AA seems a bit dated, the T4410 features a matt black cover with a white keyboard mat below. However, this bar feels like it was made to last. Considering that most phones have a lid that opens when you lift only the T4410 features a solid closure, AIA handy feature for convertibles. Because of the design rock solid, we enjoyed the peace of mind when carrying the T4410 in the arm.

Measuring 11.7 x 9.2 x 1.5 inches, the T4410 is about as large, slightly thicker than Äîand, Aither Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with multitouch (11.6 x 10.1 x 1.3 inches) larger than the Dell Latitude XT2 (11.7 x 8.7 x 1.1 inches). At 4.5 pounds, AOS heavier than the two systems (4.2 pounds with long battery life and 3.8 pounds, respectively). However, only the T4110 is equipped with a built-in DVD burner. In addition, you can replace this scanner for a long battery life (a $ 134 option).

Keyboard and touchpad

The T4410, a white plastic keyboard AA has a classic, an arrangement closely together. The great (very loud) keys are splash and comfortable to type on, as the keyboard extends the full width of the frame, leaving some blank space on the edges. Using your thumbs Ten typing test, we were able to type at a rate of 86 words per minute, which is almost as fast as we normally have on our keyboard type computer.
Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 nine has much to recommend it. The i5 Core CPU coupled with a discrete graphics card ATI provides great multimedia machine. Light weight and attractive design that you will not be ashamed to leave the white coffee. But the thing that made us sit and pay attention was the addition of a control SlideNav the top of the bridge.
Touch SlideNav bar adds a little fun at the machine while providing quick access to shortcuts, a great way to lock the screen when you need to step back, and even many desktop / workspace (something Linux users are familiar with).

We dig the SlideNav other utilities and Lenovo brand, and we are more than satisfied with the quality of our audio and gaming experience, but we hope that the Y460 has lasted more than one charge and that n ‘ was not so expensive.[via]

This T135D, a version that starts $ 100 cheaper than the $ 700 review unit, not the ultra-low voltage Intel CPUs that have contributed to our review unit to run more than 7 hours on battery.
You might not know it, but Asus makes laptop gaming for a while. What makes the special G73Jh-A2? This is the first machine of the company that actually gives Alienware a run for its money in the looks and performance of the department. Inspired by stealth fighter, this platform offers a menacing black power quad-core and 1GB ATI graphics, a superb display 1080p and a full terabyte of storage. All this for $ 1,599-about $ 1,000 less than a similarly configured Alienware M17x. You must pay extra for Blu-ray, but overall this beast is far from 8.8 pounds killer.
Design

Inspired by the design of the F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter, the G73Jh-A2 was certainly an aesthetic testosterone-filled. Lying in a black, rubberized material, the chassis under the power-oozing. At 8.8 kg, 16.6 x 12.8 x 2.3 inches, the G73Jh-A2 is a bit of a monster, but because of the sharp edge, cuts aerodynamics, and the austerity of the design, The platform comes sleekness.

The only ornament on the lid is a symbol of silver and engraved with an ASUS logo Republic player below. Under the hood, the first thing we noticed is that pull the system back a bit, like some laptops in the consumer line of Dell. The battery does not hold the entire width of the system, but nevertheless provides the platform for extra junk into the trunk.[via

The exterior is the same, but the guts of the 2010 version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro have been reorganized. This thin and light notebook now has a faster processor and double the graphics performance. Better yet, it takes about eight hours on one charge, about half past one more than its predecessor. While $ 1,199 is on the side expensive nowadays for a laptop, the MacBook Pro delivers an excellent performance and endurance in an attractive design, comfortable, easy to carry with you.

Design

The 13-inch MacBook Pro looks identical to last season, MacBook Pro: aluminum chassis, black keyboard Island style multitouch touchpad tall and thin, domed lid all look familiar. Even its weight (4.4 pounds) and dimensions (12.8 x 8.9 x 1 inches) remain the same, which makes this laptop a breeze to carry. ASUS U30Jc-1A, another 13-inch thin and lightweight with powerful graphics, weighs half a pound more.

Like its predecessor, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is made from one seamless piece of aluminum, which means it is more durable than most other notebooks in this price range. The only difference is that now the battery is not removable (more on that later). Our only gripe is that the system body scratches easily, so you can invest in a custom cover-FIT.

Keyboard and touchpad

As always, the keyboard on the 13-inch MacBook Pro has a sleek finish, and makes little sound when you type. While the keyboard, for example, the 17-inch MacBook Pro may be too large (and too recessed) for certain hands, the keyboard on the 13-inch is comfortably placed. It is also backlit with ambient light sensor, which is handy for low light environments.

The touch pad is a giant button that serves as the touchpad and mouse button, and is the best in the business. The friction is low, and we could easily push the button without thinking of the fact that there is no dedicated button touch (Nevermind two). This thin and light notebook now has a faster processor and double the graphics performance. Better yet, it takes about eight hours on one charge, about half past one more than its predecessor. While $ 1,199 is on the expensive side these days for a laptop, the MacBook Pro delivers an excellent performance and endurance in an attractive design and comfortable, easy to take with SOA you.

Design

The 13-inch MacBook Pro looks identical to last season OSA MacBook Pro: aluminum chassis, black keyboard Island style multitouch touchpad tall and thin, domed cover all looked familiar.

Like its predecessor, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is made from one seamless piece of aluminum, which means that, AOS more durable than most other notebooks in this price range. The only difference is that now the battery is not removable (more on that later). Our only gripe is that the system, body AA scuffs easily, so you can invest in a custom cover-FIT.

Keyboard and touchpad

As always, the keyboard on the 13-inch MacBook Pro has a sleek finish, and makes little sound when you type. While the keyboard, for example, the 17-inch MacBook Pro may be too large (and too recessed) for certain hands, the 13-inches, keyboard OSA is comfortably placed. The AOS also backlit with ambient light sensor which is useful for low light environments.

The touch pad is a giant button that serves as the touchpad and mouse button, and is the best in the business. The friction is low and we could easily push the button without thinking about the fact that there is no touch pad OSA dedicated (not to mention two).

Like its close relative, the 1810T, the Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ offers nearly double the power of netbooks while offering all-day battery life. At $ 579, this machine is 11 inches not cheap but for about $ 180 more than a netbook you get a premium dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and a relatively large hard drive 320 GB In addition, the 1810TZ lasted nearly nine hours on one charge. Although we are not fans of the lid too bright, it is a compelling ultraportable.
Design

Unsurprisingly, the Aspire Timeline 1810TZ the same appearance as the Timeline 1810T and 1410, while only 11.2 x 8 x 1.2 inches it shares the same size as its predecessors, is a bit lighter 3 pounds. Our review unit had a black cover, with shiny metal Acer logo impressed into the top corner, and it takes fingerprints quite easily. The bridge is a silver plastic which is a decent mock brushed aluminum, and is offset by the matte black keyboard and glossy black bezel.

Fortunately, the battery of six cells do 1810TZ bulge back. Instead, he bumps on the bottom, tilting the system to a slight downward angle toward the user.
Heat

After watching a video in Hulu full screen for 15 minutes, we measured the temperature 1810TZ: touchpad and the area between the keys G and H was 82 and 88 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively, and the middle of landing gear was as hot as 99 degrees. This temperature is almost a matter of concern and we consider anything above 100 degrees to be too hot.[via]

It is easy to find a laptop that is right at the base. But what if you want to edit photos and video? Or multitask without your laptop wheezing? Enter the Dell Studio 15 (1558), an excellent multimedia machine under $ 900 for people who want to do more. We love its comfortable keyboard, a high resolution webcam, high performance, rich sound and long battery life. Gamers might want to look elsewhere, but everyone should be satisfied.
Design

While the Studio 15 avoids many surfaces during design trends matte or metallic, the island of keyboards he nevertheless attractive and comfortable. The deck lid and the keyboard has a glossy surface but does not pick up fingerprints. This is partly because even if they are brilliant, they always finish a longer course than other covers reflection. In addition, a subtle pattern circular, echoes both the lid and palm rest, mask helps burrs.

Keyboard and touchpad

Studio 15 keyboard is one of our favorites on the Studio 15. Of course, its close, the key terraces are not as elegant as a chiclet keyboard, but with a soft finish they are very comfortable to type on. In fact, we broke our longstanding issue of 88 words per minute on the typing test ten images, pounding out 94 words per minute with a rate of one percent error. And while we usually pause to find the Shift key or question mark, typing feel transparent with the Studio 15.

The touchpad, whose surface has very little friction, does not draw much attention to itself (it’s a good thing). The touchpad is a bit small to pinch and zoom, one of the gestures enabled, but the scroll is along the right edge or bottom of the trackpad felt very natural. We like that if you go to Control Panel> Mouse> Touchpad Dell, you can use Dell’s own intuitive interface to enable or disable the gestures, and customize the way the trackpad is sensitive.
